IHG's first Crowne Plaza in Bangladesh, opened in January 2023 in Gulshan 2: 149 rooms, a rooftop pool, a 24-hour gym, the Beast steak lounge on the 26th floor and a ballroom for up to 200.
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan is on North Avenue in Gulshan 2, close to the embassies. IHG announced it on 19 January 2023 as its first Crowne Plaza in Bangladesh, opened with Doreen Hotels & Resorts, and gives the drive from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport as about 25 minutes. It has 149 rooms and suites in a tower of 26 floors, with Standard and Premium rooms, some with jetted tubs. The building was previously Four Points by Sheraton Dhaka, Gulshan, whose new tower opened in 2016 with the same Oasis Lounge and The Beast grill.
The free-form outdoor pool has a rooftop sundeck, and there is a 24-hour fitness centre. Dining is The Flair (all-day Asian, Indian and Western), The Deli, the Oasis Lounge and The Beast, a Latin American steak lounge on the 26th floor. A ballroom and meeting rooms take 150 to 200 guests, so the hotel suits business travellers and small weddings.
