Nazimgarh Sylhet City is a hillside resort at Khadimnagar, east of the city, set on about six acres of landscaped slope; the resort says it is 9 km from Keane Bridge and 13 km from the Ratargul swamp forest. The main building has 35 deluxe rooms and suites, each with a balcony or sundeck, and a wood-panelled lobby of more than 4,000 sq ft. Room categories run from Deluxe (about 340 sq ft) to Executive, Family and Luxury suites and the 1,130 sq ft Ibne Battuta Presidential Suite. Booking.com, Trip.com and Kayak list it as 4-star.
Meals are served at The Oriental (Thai, Chinese, Indian and Bangladeshi dishes), the hilltop restaurant (continental) and Café Bistro. Facilities include a swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room, meeting rooms and a landscaped garden used for weddings and other events. It suits families, groups and travellers who want green surroundings and a quieter base than the central Dargah Gate area; the resort is a car ride from the city centre.
