The Peninsula Chittagong

The Peninsula Chittagong occupies Bulbul Center on O.R. Nizam Road, right by GEC Circle — the city's main shopping and office district, with banks, restaurants and malls within walking distance. Shah Amanat International Airport is about 12 km away in a straight line.

The company was founded in 2003 and the hotel opened in 2006 with 122 rooms; later expansion brought it to 144 rooms, and the restaurants and lounge were renovated in 2017 and again in 2019. It is a listed company on the Bangladeshi stock market and one of the best-known locally owned hotels in the city.

Rooms are compact: Deluxe, Super Deluxe and Executive Twin rooms are about 25 m² (265 sq ft), and suites about 74 m² (800 sq ft). Most face the city.

Dining is spread over the building: Saint's Café on the ground floor for coffee and bakery items, the Laguna buffet restaurant on level 5, Cirrus Sky Dining on level 15 with 360-degree city views, and the rooftop Ozone Lounge & Bar for cocktails, Indian dishes and bar snacks. The rooftop also has the swimming pool; there is a gym, spa and salon, two banquet halls and two meeting rooms.

It suits business travellers who want to be in the GEC area at a mid-range price, and visitors who value a rooftop pool and good in-house dining over room size.
